Dave Cowens Helped Restore Celtics Pride
One of the toughest things to do in sports is to follow in the footsteps of a legend. Dave Cowens took over the center position for the Boston Celtics shortly after the retirement of Bill Russell, who led Boston to 11 championships in 13 seasons. Cowens carved out his own significant legacy, winning an MVP and leading the Celtics to two more championships.
